MYO is based in Mondesa, a struggling community at the boarder of Swakopmund, Namibia. The local schools typically have large classes of 45 children, often working without key materials such as books, paper and pens. Each year, c. 70% of students fail their final school exams.
MYO aims to support the public education system by providing c. 500 hours of additional lesson time to 140 selected students each year, at no cost to the families. MYO requires mandatory class attendance, and their outcomes show 100% of the MYO students pass their final school exams.
Since 2024, Castik employees, together with Castik, have sponsored more than one class of 24 students by funding teaching and writing materials, teacher salaries, lunch and transport. Castik doubles every donation made by its employees, creating additional educational opportunities.
In addition to covering the running costs of a learner, Castik employees have developed a programme that provides sponsors with insight into the progress of the sponsored students and full transparency on how the donations are being used.

Established in 2003 by Robert Myres, an American WORLDTeach volunteer, MYO promotes education for young people in Namibia. The organisation operates a supplementary afternoon school for approximately 120 students aged 9 to 15, helping to address learning gaps that may arise within the mainstream education system.
MYO reports strong academic outcomes, with students achieving a 100% pass rate in their final examinations. The programme also emphasises leadership development and responsible citizenship, supporting students in building confidence and life skills alongside academic progress.
Beyond the classroom, the programme also provides students with a good lunch as well as practical support including hygiene supplies, clothing, and access to medical and psychological services.
