Aider is acquiring the outsourcing division of Polish tax advisory firm MDDP with more than 300 employees. “This marks a new milestone in our international expansion and allows us to serve an entirely new customer segment,” says Aider CEO Andreas Vik. “When this opportunity arose, we jumped at it. We just had to get going, and now Aider has a significant presence in Poland, which is a rapidly growing market,” says Vik.

MDDP Outsourcing is home to one of Poland's largest accounting teams and is headed by three leading partners, all with “Big Four” experience. MDDP Outsourcing has more than 300 employees and an annual turnover of close to NOK 200 million with very good profitability.

High potential:

Approximately 70 percent of MDDP Outsourcing's customer base consists of non-Polish companies operating in Poland which Vik sees as an attractive focus area. “The team at MDDP Outsourcing has considerable expertise with the unique issues faced by companies that cross national borders. Now we are gaining more of that expertise at Aider. Whether it's Norwegian customers with international ambitions or international customers who want to establish themselves in Norway, we can help them even better going forward,” he says.

MDDP Outsourcing has offices in Warsaw and Katowice and provides services in accounting, payroll, and consulting. Like Aider, it also has its own IT department. “Getting more talented tech people on the team is an important factor, and MDDP Outsourcing has developed several smart in-house solutions that our customers can benefit from. At the same time, I believe our own set-up has a lot to offer on the tech side. We are well ahead here in the Nordic region, and there is enormous potential in exporting our ERP systems and solutions to this market.” Vik says.

Sharing core values:

MDDP Outsourcing is undergoing a complete rebranding, and Knut Grotli, Chairman of the Board of Aider, says that the two companies quickly found common ground around Aider's core values: “They have a similar profile, a similar mindset, and define themselves as a center of expertise. Now we will continue to grow by offering our continuously expanding service portfolio to both Norwegian and international customers,” says Grotli, concluding: “And then we'll see where the journey takes us next. We are always ready to seize the opportunities that arise.
