Castik team completes ING Night Marathon in support of Mondesa Youth Opportunities

Following several months of preparation, a team of 11 runners from our Luxembourg and London offices participated in the ING Night Marathon, raising funds for Mondesa Youth Opportunities (MYO). The team completed the event successfully, with all runners crossing the finish line.
Castik is pleased to continue its sponsorship of MYO, a charity working to expand access to education in Namibia. MYO delivers a structured education programme covering Mathematics, English and Computer Science. Castik’s support helps fund additional classes and provides resources that strengthen students’ core learning.
In addition, Castik colleagues volunteer as mentors, building relationships with individual students through direct engagement. Members of the team have also visited the township of Mondesa, near Swakopmund, to observe the programme’s impact within the local community.

About Mondesa Youth Opportunities (MYO)
Established in 2003 by Robert Myres, an American WORLDTeach volunteer, MYO promotes education for young people in Namibia. The organisation operates a supplementary afternoon school for approximately 120 students aged 9 to 15, helping to address learning gaps that may arise within the mainstream education system.
MYO reports strong academic outcomes, with students achieving a 100% pass rate in their final examinations. The programme also emphasises leadership development and responsible citizenship, supporting students in building confidence and life skills alongside academic progress.
Beyond the classroom, the programme also provides students with a good lunch as well as practical support including hygiene supplies, clothing, and access to medical and psychological services.
